HMS Oardacious charity row across the Atlantic
The Royal Navy Submarine Service, the first line and the last line of defence of the UK, are always looking for ways to improve performance, not only through technology and processes but primarily through people, because they recognise that defence and success is a human activity.
Project 7, experts in the provision of management consultancy to a variety of businesses and sectors, enable team success, using constantly evolved methodologies of Lean, Agile and Best Practise underpinned by effective leadership and team principles. We apply those in both operational (manufacturing) and non-operational (functional and transactional) environments.
So what’s the link? We have veterans working in our team, including a former submarine captain. There are real synergies between how the submarine service operates in such a complex world and the difference we make within a variety of sectors, because it fundamentally comes down to:
We are now pleased to be part of the sponsorship of HMS Oardacious who are raising money for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity. In December 2019, four Royal Navy Submariners will row unsupported across the Atlantic Ocean departing from the Canary Islands to reach Nelson’s Dockyard Antigua a month later. Their aim is to be the first team to cross the finish line, and to raise over £100,000 to provide Mental Health and Wellbeing support to the Submarine community, collaborating with the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.
Within our programme of ‘Pay it Forward’, we do what’s right for society levering off our expertise and knowledge and in this case we are proud to be contributing to a Service charity. We’ll keep you updated as to their progress.
