Week 3







Diary


The candidates review how they have moved from “team-leader-led” to autonomous team working within the lean environment. Nobody needs to lead, as the standards are now clear.
 
There is a personal acknowledgement that the people create the process and the process drives behaviour.
 
After 3-weeks intensive lean learning, team members now have all four DNA elements of a lean leader on which to build:
 

  1. There is no substitution for direct observation
  2. All change should be structured as small experiments
  3. Leaders should experiment often with their teams
  4. Leaders should coach, not fix

 

Lean Manufacturing
